High School: Lettered four hears at Flathead High for coach Tom McFarlane...senior year team went 13-1, won the Western Division title and was runner-up at Montana State High School Tournament...two-time All-State and All-Western Conference selection...named 2000 Gatorade Montana High School Boys Soccer Player of the Year and team MVP...scored 14 goals and had 19 assists as a senior, winning the Flathead High Silver Boot as the assists leader...junior season team went 12-2-0 and captured Western Division title...won regular-season scoring title in the state with 15 goals and 7 assists in 11 games...won Flathead High Golden Boot with his team-leading 17 goals as a junior...sophomore season team captured Montana State title with 11-0-2 mark as well as Western Division championship...assisted on the winning goal in overtime of the State championship game...won Silver Boot for his team-high 9 assists...freshman season started the second game of the season and never left the starting lineup for 11-3-1 squad that finished second in the Western Conference and fourth in the Montana State Tournament...played for Montana ODP team in 1997 and 1998, attending Regional camps both years...played three years of varsity basketball...senior season team went 15-8 for second in the Western AA Conference...led team in assists and steals as starting point guard and team captain...his 105 assists for the season rank 7th on the all-time single-season list at Flathead High...voted Most Inspirational Player and Mr. Hustle...junior season basketball team went 6-16, his 97 assists ranking 10th on the all-time single season list...won Mr. Hustle Award...lettered as a sophomore in basketball, team qualifying for the Montana State AA Tournament.
FRESHMAN (2001): Came off the bench in all 16 matches...got his career off to a memorable start, scoring the game-winning goal in the 29th minute on his first career shot against Denver University in the University of Portland Classic as Gonzaga took a 1-0 victory...also had an assist on game-winning goal in 2-0 win over the University of San Francisco. SOPHOMORE (2002): Started 11 of his 13 appearances and collecting one assist, his pass setting up Scott Yuska's game-winning goal in 2-1 comeback victory over Air Force in Gonzaga/Nike Soccer Classic. JUNIOR (2003): Played for the Spokane Shadow of the USL Premier Developmental League, starting eight of 17 appearances and playing 834 minutes...scored two goals for four points...Shadow finished 14-3-1, losing PDL Western Conference semifinal to the Fresno Fuego 1-0...one of four players to start all 17 matches for Gonzaga...had two goals and two assists...scored first Bulldog goal of the season against Air Force in 5-3 season-opening win. SENIOR (2004): Played for the Spokane Shadow of the USL Premier Developmental League...played in five matches early in the season with four starts before other commitments prevented him from playing the remainder of the season...had 2 assists. Misc.: Born 10-1-82...played for Montana Force club team, winning U-15, U-16 and U-17 Montana State titles and advancing to the Far West Regional three straight years (1998-00)...U-17 club won 2000 Las Vegas Premier Tournament and West Region Superclubs Tournament title in San Bernardino, CA...led U-17 club in scoring with 23 goals and 14 assists in 28 games...U-16 team took second in the 1999 San Francisco Cup and fifth in the 1999 Nomads Fall Tournament in San Diego, CA...played five matches in Scotland and England in 1999, including a match against the U-16 Hearts Scottish Premiere League...U-18 club won Coeur d'Alene, ID, Hot Shots title...Flathead Force compiled a 3-year record of 67-20-5 from 1999-01...sister, Crystal, plays soccer for the University of Idaho and will be a junior in the fall of 2001. |
